Homo Empathicus

Souvent je me demande si, en tant qu'espèce, nous réussirons à survivre à nos passions. Souvent j'ai peur.

Eve Ensler: powerful, inspiring!

Three 20-minute conferences

I suggest to you 3 20-minute conferences by Eve Ensler, given at TED forums.

A radical project, an occasion to make a huge difference

When I went to get NVC assessor training in New Mexico in January, I met with some very inspiring people from India. Kumarjeev and Anirhudda are “ex-untouchables”. They use NVC to move themselves and others through thousand-year-old paradigms of domination and humiliation. Among other things, they (and their wives) train women in domestic violence situations in order to help them change what occurs in their daily lives.

HERE IS THE PROJECT

Empathy - from Dominic Barter

A pleasure and a treasure

It is truly a continued pleasure to nourish and expand my levels of awareness through the ways in which Dom holds and shares pieces that are so dear to my heart.

His articulation and clarity are both stimulating, inspiring and resonating for me. I hope you also get excited with his words, with the depth of his understanding and the implications of his angles.

Accepting Our Feelings

Here's a short article we wrote for the Guilde des Herboristes' Journal, fall 2008.

Carrots and NVC

Here is a brief and striking presentation by Dan Pink, who explains why external motivators do not work. Science tells us that if we want to increase organisational efficiency, we should instead create organizations that focus on meeting these 3 needs (as defined by himself):• Autonomy : The urge to direct our own lives
• Mastery : The desire to get better and better at something that matters
• Purpose : The yearning to do what we do in the service of something larger than ourselves
