Here is a brief and striking presentation by Dan Pink, who explains why external motivators do not work. Science tells us that if we want to increase organisational efficiency, we should instead create organizations that focus on meeting these 3 needs (as defined by himself):• Autonomy : The urge to direct our own lives 
• Mastery : The desire to get better and better at something that matters
• Purpose : The yearning to do what we do in the service of something larger than ourselves
 

Listening to this video I imagined organizations implementing business and communication processes meant at supporting all personnel to live according to their intrinsic needs while contributing to the common goals. And, again, I told myself how NVC is a great tool to get there!
